After meeting this family, I really wish I could speak French!
I was enamored with the sound of their accents and how beautiful the French language is. I could have sat and listened to them all afternoon but, alas, there were photos to be taken and memories to make.
I met Sebastien, Celine, Josselin, Justine, and Corentin right across from their home in a beautiful area of Central Park. We had a short window of time but made the most of it - and that's all we needed. This family was all smiles and gorgeousness right from the start so it wasn't long before we had everything we needed to ensure they had amazing memories of this time together.

We did it again!
Let me sum it up by saying - Nantucket + bubbles + Amy, Brett, and Tate = another incredible photo session!
From the moment I met Tate years ago, I knew his interest in learning was off the charts! This boy is smart! Another reason I love seeing him every year - I always learn something. He's curious and that makes me curious. So this time I brought bubbles. Great big giant bubbles! the ones that create amazing shapes and colors. Watching Tate make so many great bubbles thrilled me. The bubble session was a hit!
Since our first few sessions involved beachy landscapes with sand, waves, and lots of jumping in the water, we took a different path this time. We met at the UMass Boston Field Station and explored our way out to the tip with it's gorgeous view of the water. Spectacular!

Dreaming of Nantucket's beaches on this snowy day.
As I'm watching the snow fall outside my window, my mind is wandering back to the warm sand and sunshine I experienced when I was photographing Koren, Jacob, and Charlotte at Steps Beach on Nantucket. What a contrast to today's weather!
I am so appreciative that I have had the opportunity to photograph this wonderful family over the years in such a magnificent place. Steps Beach has become our tradition. One that I most definitely look forward to each year.
Watching Charlotte laughing and running on the sand makes me so happy. Each year that she grows becomes more of a test for Jacob as he swings her around. It's so important to capture these times because swinging and piggy backs become much harder with each passing year. Jacob is always up for the challenge though :)

I knew as soon as I walked into their home and saw their beautiful smiles, I was in for a treat.
Roland, Ronnie, Olivia, and their little dog Lilly, were so kind, so gorgeous, and just so lovely together. We had their photo session in their backyard surrounded by hydrangeas and lush green coloring. It was perfect.
With a great mix of sophisticated and silly, we were off to a good start! It was such a joy to photograph this family in their own backyard. They were instantly comfortable and at ease in front of my camera. They definitely knew how to have fun and their affection for each other came through in every photo.
In the busy-ness of our daily lives, it's easy to forget the importance of quietly being together, uninterrupted, having fun, all while transforming those moments into forever memories.

Who has seen Wadsworth Falls right after a BIG storm?! well, I have, and it's wild!
I had the opportunity to photograph Marianne, Martin, Catherine, Fiona, and Bridget at Wadsworth Falls when the water was stronger than I'd ever seen it. It was crazy and beautiful all at the same time and I couldn't have asked for a more fun and adventurous family as this one.
I still can't believe we had just met. It was like hanging out with old friends who happened to like to dance in the water. It was all I could do to stop myself from jumping in with them. I will keep the silliest and most fun photos for the family but trust me, it was incredible.
Martin and Marianne, thank you for sharing your family with me. It was an honor to be in your presence and be able to give you these memories that will last you a lifetime. |
